Description
The Child-Resistant Airless Pump Bottle, Mono-Material (SKU: 144AB-GR249) is an airless pump bottle built from a single polymer family, polypropylene, rather than the mixed-material assemblies most airless pumps use. Mono-material construction simplifies sorting and recovery at end of life, since components made from the same polymer are more likely to be processed by recycling infrastructure rather than rejected at the sorting stage. Available in 15ml, 30ml, and 50ml, it uses the same 0.21ml airless pump and 16 CFR §1700.20 certified CR closure as TPC's standard airless bottle.
This design is intended to support the direction of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR, EU 2025/40), which entered into force in February 2025, becomes applicable in August 2026, and requires all packaging to be recyclable by 2030, with Design for Recyclability criteria expected to be formalized by 2028. Mono-material construction is not itself a compliance certification, PPWR compliance depends on the full packaging system, country of market entry, and producer registration obligations. Buyers selling into EU markets should confirm specific requirements with their own regulatory advisors.

Frequently asked questions
Mono-material means the bottle components are designed from a single polymer family, polypropylene (PP), rather than a mix of different plastics that require separation before recycling. This simplifies sorting and recovery pathways at end of life, improving the realistic probability that the packaging is actually processed by recycling infrastructure rather than rejected. It also aligns with Design for Recyclability (DfR) principles that the EU PPWR (EU 2025/40) is moving toward for all packaging by 2030.
Not by itself. EU PPWR compliance depends on the full packaging system, country of market entry, producer registration, and design criteria that are still being formalized (DfR criteria are expected by 2028). The mono-material architecture is designed to support recyclability goals and align with the DfR direction the regulation is moving toward, but buyers should work with their own regulatory advisors to confirm compliance obligations for their specific markets and programs.
Material architecture only, both share the same sizes (15ml, 30ml, 50ml), the same 0.21ml airless pump, and the same 16 CFR §1700.20 certification. The standard bottle uses a conventional multi-material construction. This bottle uses a mono-material PP design intended to support recyclability goals, better suited to brands with sustainability positioning or EU market plans.
The airless pump system is designed to minimize air contact with formula on every actuation, the pump mechanism draws product up from the base rather than drawing air in through a dip tube. This significantly reduces the oxidation and contamination exposure that standard pump bottles allow. It is not a hermetically sealed container, but it offers meaningfully better formula protection than conventional pump bottles for active-ingredient and sensitive topical formulas.
Yes. The closure is certified to 16 CFR §1700.20, the federal child-resistant packaging standard accepted by cannabis and regulated wellness program oversight bodies across major U.S. markets. Verify state-specific CR requirements with your compliance team before production.
Works best with lightweight serums, oils, gels, and lotion-consistency topical formulas. Particularly well suited for active-ingredient formulas, cannabinoids, CBD extracts, retinoids, vitamin C, botanical actives, where air exposure during dispensing degrades formula quality. Not recommended for very high-viscosity formulas above approximately 50,000 cPs without a custom pump configuration.
MOQ is 10,000 units per size. Multiple sizes can be run within a single program. Contact our team for tiered pricing on larger volumes or multi-SKU topical line builds.
