Description

◆ U.S. Patent 11,370,583, TPC Proprietary Design

The All-Metal Pre-Roll Tin (V1A) is the fully tinplate-body variant of TPC's patented CR tin case, built for cannabis brands who want a metal construction with no plastic side-wall band. Where the standard V1 uses a plastic band for the side walls, the V1A's base, lid, and side walls are tinplate from edge to edge. The airtight seal and insert tray are separate components, available in tin, plastic, paper, or foam depending on your product and sustainability goals. It carries the same patented squeeze-to-open mechanism, certified to 16 CFR §1700.20 and tested to ASTM F1272, plus 3mm of extra interior depth for thicker trays and foam inserts.

Custom insert trays

The V1A's deeper 17mm cavity supports insert configurations not possible in the standard V1, including thicker plastic trays, foam layers, and larger product diameters. Every tray is engineered and prototyped by our team before full production begins.

Pre-roll trays

Fits pre-rolls up to 98mm. Standard configurations include 5-pack, 6-pack, and 7-pack in single row, staggered, or 2-up orientations. The extra height accommodates thicker-walled tubes and wider diameters.

Foam and dual-layer trays

17mm depth enables foam insert layers not possible in the 14mm V1, ideal for cart protection, premium unboxing inserts, and fragile formats that need cushioning.

Mixed-format and bundle trays

Extra depth makes mixed-height product combos easier, pre-rolls plus a lighter, gummies alongside a cart, or any bundle where products of different heights need to coexist cleanly.

Customization options

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The patented squeeze-to-open mechanism (U.S. Patent 11,370,583) is certified to 16 CFR §1700.20, the federal child-resistant packaging standard, and tested to ASTM F1272. Verify state-specific CR requirements with your compliance team for regulated cannabis product programs.

The standard V1 uses a plastic band to form the side walls between the base and lid. The V1A replaces that band with tinplate, so the tin body itself, base, lid, and side walls, is entirely metal with no visible seam. The insert tray and airtight seal are separate components and can be tin, plastic, paper, or foam depending on your product and sustainability goals. The V1A is also 3mm deeper (17mm vs. 14mm), which allows for thicker insert trays and foam layers. Both share the same patented mechanism, certification, and footprint for 5 to 7 pre-rolls.

MOQ is 10,000 units. Contact us for tiered pricing on higher volumes or multi-SKU pre-roll line builds.

Yes. The deeper 17mm cavity supports plastic trays, EVA foam layers, and mixed-format bundle configurations that don't fit in the standard V1. Request a Production Readiness Kit to get started with samples and tray engineering guidance.
